IPO(Initial Public Offer)

Initial Public Offer (IPO) is when an unlisted company makes either a fresh issue of securities or an offer for sale of its existing securities or both for the first time to the public.

Some of the reasons why companies go for an IPO is as follows :

  1. Additional Capital resources for funding of projects/expansion plans.
  2. Dilution of existing promoters share holding.
  3. Value Hedging PMS
  4. Listing enhances corporate image thus providing visibility.

A corporate may raise capital in the primary market by way of an initial public offer, rights issue or private placement. An Initial Public Offer (IPO) is the selling of securities to the public in the primary market. It is the largest source of funds with long or indefinite maturity for the company.

IPO can be an excellent option if you’re looking for a diversified investment portfolio which offers liquidity and transparency. Use IPO’S to plan your financial future. Currently the investor have been risk-averse and therefore park most of their saving in Fixed Deposits and other saving Accounts, though the yield from such investment avenues is very low. However, the recent trend has been such that more people have been attracted towards investment in the IPO’s. Oberoi’s Portfolio provides complete transaction support to our associates and their clients for investments in primary markets through IPO’s
